KALIKOT, Sept 15: A cocktail party took place at an Office of Women and Children Development in the district, recently.
There seems to be no appropriate reason behind this daily celebration.
The party took place at the office of Women Development Officer, Sita Thapa Magar. Along with Thapa, all the officials were celebrating in their uniforms.

While the office assistant was busy distributing the feast, the officers were enjoying it along with their talks.
The Office’s doors were locked, depriving the service seekers of their service.
“Amount saved from skill development trainings, interactions and symposiums are used to fund the party,” said an officer.
“It was strange to buy and deliver liquors from the office’s vehicle at first, now it feels normal,” the officer added.
Office attendant Thapa admits that they celebrate cocktail parties but not during office hours. “I haven’t drunk any liquor and celebrated during working hours.”
