'Off goes the Queen,' Subash Nembang requests in the parliament

KATHMANDU, May 25: Subash Chandra Nembang, leader of Nepal Communist Party has urged to delete a word that seemingly described President Bidhya Devi Bhandari from the records of federal parliament.


On Thursday, deliberation leader of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Rajendra Shrestha said that the government was trying to pose President Bidya Devi Bhandari as a ‘Queen’.

Expressing his views on the government's policy and programs on Friday, at the federal parliament, Nembang urged to remove the word as it was addressed to be provocative. 


During his remarks, Nembang claimed that the government's plans and policies for this fiscal year was different from the past and aimed to ensure economic prosperity and development in the country.  In turn, he urged oppositional parties to become partners in the government’s journey to prosperity.
