NSC requests Ministry of Sports to fix date of 10th National Games and 1st Para Sports

KATHMANDU, April 1: The National Sports Council (NSC) has requested the Ministry of Youth and Sports to fix the dates for the 10th National Games and the first Para National Games to be held in Karnali Province.

KATHMANDU, April 1: The National Sports Council (NSC) has requested the Ministry of Youth and Sports to fix the dates for the 10th National Games and the first Para National Games to be held in Karnali Province.


The NSC has requested the Ministry to fix the dates for both the 10th National and 1st Para Sports.

The 115th board meeting of NSC during the 9th National Games held in Gandaki Province last year had announced that the 10th National Games will be held in Karnali Province from November 17 to November 24, 2024.


Following the national sports calendar, these events are held every two years.


Additionally, as per the tradition of organizing para sports for differently-abled athletes after the main national sports competition, the NSC has proposed holding the inaugural Para National Sports Competition 2024 from December 3 to December 6, 2024, also in Karnali Province.


NSC has requested the Ministry of Youth and Sports to proceed with the necessary procedures for the two national competitions.


The ninth edition of the National Games was held in Gandaki Province from October 14, 2022 to October 20, 2022.
