NRB awards a Chinese company contract to print and supply of 310 million units currency notes

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has awarded a contract to a Chinese company to print 310 million units of currency notes.

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has awarded a contract to a Chinese company to print 310 million units of currency notes.


According to NRB, MS China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation has bagged the contract to supply the aforementioned units of notes with denomination of Rs 20. The Chinese company has quoted the cost of US $ 4,698,685 to supply the currencies.

Last time, the same company in 2017 was awarded a contract to supply 200 million units of currency notes of Rs 1000 denomination.
