KATHMANDU, July 10: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has proposed to provide Rs 50,000 more to the quake-damaged houses around the historic palaces and heritages, which were damaged in the earthquake. 


The meeting of the NRA executive committee on Monday decided to provide this amount as the incentive to the houses, which would be reconstructed by depicting the ancient time with creative features.

Some 3,000 houses around Sankha of Kathmandu, Khokana and Bungmati of Lalitpur, Gorkha Durbar and the museum of Gorkha, Durbar area of Nuwakot, and the market places of Bhimeshwor Temple of Dolakha would get Rs 50,000 incentive amount each. 


The proposal would be presented before the meeting of the director's committee to be held on Wednesday, said NRA Spokesperson Yamlal Bhushal, adding that the amount would be provided to buy traditional bricks which could be used to make the porch reflecting ancient time. RSS
