KATHMANDU, June 11: Nepal Public School Employees’ Council (NPSEC) held a demonstration at New Baneshwar, Kathmandu, on Sunday. In the demonstration, the employees of public schools expressed their discontent over the budget's failure to address their concerns, symbolically protesting by banging utensils.

Speaking during the demonstration, Gangaram Tiwari, the national president of NPSEC, said that they had to protest because the then Minister for Education, Devendra Paudel's ministerial decision on September 4, 2022 to increase the salary of government school employees by two levels had no mention in the budget announced late last month.
