Nepali Congress win will safeguard democracy: Deuba

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba claimed that the left alliance was a threat to democracy. Addressing an election gathering at Myanglung, the district headquarters, Deuba said that communist actors were trying to ‘revive a political ideology that has been extinct in the world.

IEDs deactivated in Morang

Nepal Army’s bomb disposal squad defused improvised explosive devices (IEDs); seven socket bombs and two hand grenades planted at different places in Morang district. 

ADB agrees to provide Rs 15.4 billion loan assistance

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is to provide loan assistance of US Dollars 150 million (approximately Rs 15.4 billion) to implement Regional Urban Development Project. The project investment will cover the eight municipalities located in southern Terai and far west of Nepal.
