NC may bar leaders from holding two positions

A draft statute of the Nepali Congress party, which is now being circulated to its party leaders, has proposed that the NC leaders will be barred from holding two positions.  Nepali Congress General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, who is also the coordinator of the statute drafting committee of the party, presented the draft statute to the party’s top leadership during a meeting of the Central Working Committee held at the party headquarters in Sanepa, on Sunday.

EU leaders endorse Brexit deal

European Union leaders of the 27 states staying on together after Britain leaves the bloc on Sunday endorsed their Brexit deal with London, chairman Donald Tusk said. “EU27 has endorsed the Withdrawal Agreement and Political Declaration on the future EU-UK relations,” Tusk said after less than an hour of the leaders’ summit.

Soccer-Man City swat West Ham aside, Liverpool stay close behind

Manchester City maintained their two-point lead at the top of the Premier League as Leroy Sane scored twice in an emphatic 4-0 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday. Liverpool kept up the pressure with a 3-0 win at Watford, but Manchester United misfired at Old Trafford once again in a drab 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
