POKHARA, July 25: The normal life has been put off gear following the general strike called by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist in Kaski today.
The party called the strike protesting the government's highhandedness against the squatters. Public transportation has come to a grinding halt in Pokhara while educational institutes have shut down.
The police have detained two strike enforcers – Prakash Bastola and Ashok Bhandari – from Naagdhunga area of Pokhara, Kaski's Police Spokesperson, Gaju Siddhi Bajracharya said. RSS
