KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Nomination of candidates for the local level by-elections is taking place on Wednesday. The by-polls scheduled for November 30 will fill 48 vacant positions at the local units.

The Election Commission (EC) is holding by-polls to elect representatives in 48 posts that fell vacant after the elected representatives died in accidents or due to diseases since they were elected in 2017.
Apart from the local by-elections, the provincial and federal by-polls are also taking place on November 30. The nomination, according to the election, body is scheduled to take place from 10 am to 1 pm Wednesday.
