KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Nominations for the most awaited 20th Hits FM Music Awards were announced in Kathmandu on Saturday.
Among the 17 award categories includes the best new artist, best song originally recorded for a motion picture soundtrack, best vocal collaboration, best female pop vocal performance, best male pop vocal performance, best performance by a group or duo with vocal, folk record of the year, best pop/ rock composition, best arrangement, best composition, best rock vocal performance, best female vocal performance, best male vocal performance, album of the year, song of the year and record of the year.

Hits FM also honors one music personality with the lifetime achievement award every year.
Started in 1995, the Hits FM Music Awards 2016 is the first music awards organised by a private company on a national level. The finale of the event will be held in January 2017.
