KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of some petroleum products, citing rise in the price of crude oil in the international market.
NOC on Wednesday decided to increase the price of petrol by Re 1, and diesel and kerosene prices by Rs 2 per liter.
With this, petrol costs Rs 103 per liter, while diesel and kerosene costs Rs 81 per liter, according to Sushil Bhattarai, executive director of NOC.
Bhattarai said the hike was made after the supplier, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), increased the prices.
NOC, however, has kept the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) unchanged.
Despite the new adjustment in prices, NOC will suffer loss of Rs 3.53 per liter on diesel, Bhattarai said.
