KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of diesel and kerosene.
A meeting of the NOC Board of Directors held on Friday decided to increase the existing selling price of diesel and kerosene by three rupees per liter, effective from Friday midnight.

With the price adjustment, the cost of diesel and kerosene has been set at Rs 150.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 152 per liter for the second category, and Rs 153 per liter for the third category. The NOC has classified Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj depots as the first category, Surkhet and Dang as the second category, and the depots in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal as the third category.
The NOC has clarified that the price adjustment was made because the new purchase rates received today from Indian Oil Corporation have increased by Rs 0.32 per liter for petrol and Rs 2.54 per liter for diesel.
