No vehicular movement on Rasuwagadhi border before Aug 16

RASUWA, Aug 4: Vehicular movement at Rasuwagadhi, the international business border with China has been halted for the month of Shrawan. The bridge at Ghattekhola in Gosainkunda rural municipality-2 has been damaged due to a landslide.

The maintenance for the bridge has been delayed for which there won’t be any vehicular movement via this bridge.  

Materials for the reconstruction of the bridge are not able to be supplied due to a landslide at Tirtire ridge in Trishuli-Betrawati section along the Pasang Lhamu highway for which the maintenance work has been delayed. According to Road Division, Nuwakot, the maintenance materials are expected by today.  

The vehicular movement has been halted since last Saturday.

The Road Division is planning to resume vehicular movement after 15 days from the date of starting of the maintenance work.

Laborers are forced to carry goods from one place to another. The distance form Rasuwagadhi up to Kerung, China is 24 KM.
