INARUWA, Nov 11: Minister for Health Gagan Thapa stated that no one in the country should die in want and lack of medical care.
Addressing the 27th national convention of the All Nepal Medical Conference organized by Nepal Medical Association that kicked off at Dharan in Sunsari from today, Minister Thapa shared that the government was preparing to formulate sustainable healthcare policy.
Thapa expressed his confidence that the new healthcare policy would be endorsed by the parliament in its winter session.
Stating that the medical professionals should adhere to their professional ethics and morality, the Minister argued that the medical professionals should also drive reforms in the medical education sector as they were the 'most intellectual and conscious' civilians of the society.
Furthermore, Minister Thapa pointed out the need for the physicians to express their commitment to serve patients in every nook and corners of the country.
Urging one and all to be clear about the right to health and responsibilities, Thapa said that there was still room to discuss about quality healthcare services. RSS
