KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Nepali Congress (NC) has made it mandatory for a member of its students’ wing, Nepal Students Union (NSU), to be below 32 years of age. The party on Monday endorsed the decision taken by the 11th General Convention of NSU not to give membership to those above 32 years of age. NC’s decision comes amid criticisms that the NSU was still headed by those already in their 40s, denying opportunity to genuine students to lead the organization. The meeting also decided to make a three-tier NSU Committee, namely local, provincial and central.
