KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Nischaya Rayamajhi was declared the overall nett champion of the Carlsberg Golf Series 2019 with a total point of 275 points in Kathmandu on Saturday.
With the win, he received a full funded trip to play a golf tournament in Malaysia, while Tashi Tsering becomes the overall gross champion with 210 points.
The tournament was organized for the amateur golfers from across the nation having a valid handicap with their home clubs.

Rayamajhi accumulated 37 points to become the nett Winner of the third and final series, while Tsering finished as the gross winner with 35 gross points. Raj Prashan was the nett runner-up with 35 points on count back.
Likewise, Prativa Rai became the winner in the women’s category with 30 points on count back, while Kashmira Shah finished as the runner-up with 30 points on count back.
In the above 60 age group category, Madan Rana was the winner with 34 Points. Vijay S Einhaus bagged most birdies with 5 birdies, while Wangchen Dhondup and Lee Eui Jae got longest drive and closest to the pin respectively.
The tournament was played on a stableford format with ¾ handicap over 18 holes and 85 golfers took part in the event.
