TANAHU, Aug 31: Nine people have been affected with dengue in Tanahu district, the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division said.
The disease was seen in one person in the district on August 9 and the number of infected has reached nine so far.

People of Byas municipality and Myagde rural municipality have been affected the most due to the dengue, the Damauli Hospital stated.
Blood samples of 12 suspected dengue cases were tested at the Damauli Hospital until August 17. Among those, dengue was found in nine samples, Hospital's nursing officer Jamuna Sharma said.
According to her, among those treated for dengue at the hospital, one has been sent home and two to Pokhara.
So far, 339 people have been infected with dengue in the seven districts of the Gandaki province. The highest number of dengue infection has been reported in Kaski with the 312 reported cases and the lowest number of cases (two cases) in Parbat, Baglung and Lamjung each.
Similarly, nine dengue cases have been reported in Syangja and Tanahu and three in Gorkha district.
