Nine more contract COVID-19, taking national tally to 258

KATHMANDU, May 14: Ministry of Health and Population confirmed nine more cases of novel coronavirus on Friday morning. 


With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has jumped to 258.

According to Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, joint spokesperson at the ministry, those who were diagnosed with this disease are a 37-year-old man from Makwanpur and other eight males (aged 18, 20, 22, 25, 25, 27, 32 and 36) from Nainpur-1,3 and 5 of Banke district, 


The new infections were confirmed at Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory and Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital respectively. 


“All of them are normal,” said Dr Adhikari, adding that they are in contact with medics.
