Newly-elected parliamentary committee chairpersons take oath of office and secrecy

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The newly-elected chairpersons of two committees under the National Assembly took oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

While Maya Prasad Sharma was elected as the chair of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, Tulsa Dahal was elected as the chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee on Monday. Sharma is close to the CPN (Maoist Center), while Dahal is a lawmaker representing the ruling CPN-UML.

Narayan Prasad Dahal, chairperson of the National Assembly, administered the oath of office and secrecy to them amidst a special function held on Monday.
