KATHMANDU, Dec 22 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Newari culture was a main steeple of Nepali culture and arts.


Speaking in a programme organized by the Jyapu Culture Development Trust here in the capital on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli said so. He also committed to preserve multi cultures practised in the nation as it was a beautiful garden of diverse culture, arts and languages.

Prime Minister Oli also stressed on advanced and developed nation with maintaining the glorious history. On another note, Prime Minister expressed commitment to complete the construction of Dharahara (Bhimsen tower) in two years.


Prime Minister Oli further opined for developing the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) as a beautiful boutique airport where Nepali cultures and arts could be reflected. Similarly, speaking in the same programme, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said that they were working out to preserve the arts, heritages and culture in the city.


The Trust chair Mangal Krishna Singh shared that the Trust was preserving and promoting the cultures and arts of the city. Prime Minister Oli had felicitated various personalities who have contributed a lot in preserving the Newari culture and arts and also released a souvenir published by the Trust on the occasion. RSS
