In a recent notice, the Gandaki Province government instructed that EV sales are conditional on the establishment of charging stations. The notice states, "As the number of charging stations is insufficient compared to the EVs in the districts of Gandaki Province, public EV registration and road licenses will be provided only after the seller company ensures that DC fast charging stations have been established in at least three districts before selling EVs."

This regulation aims to address the increasing complaints about the lack of charging stations despite the growing number of EVs on the road. By emphasizing the construction of charging stations, Gandaki Province seeks to enhance the EV infrastructure and ensure better service for EV owners.
