KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Shivam New Diamond Academy (NDA) has climbed to the top of the table in the ongoing 13th Red Bull Dhorpatan UM Women’s Volleyball Double League Tournament on Wednesday. 


NDA secured the top spot in the standings without facing a single defeat in the tournament after the conclusion of seventh round of fixtures.

NDA beat Springdale School in straight sets of 25-7, 25-1, 25-3. With the win, NDA has accumulated 21 points, while the departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) is second on 18 points with a game still at hand. The match between APF and the other departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC), scheduled for Wednesday, was abandoned due to rain. 


In other matches, TOPS Higher Secondary School continued his unbeaten run as it defeated Paramount School 25-10, 25-7, 25-7. 


With the fourth win, TOPS is now level on points with the third-placed Nepal Police Club (NPC) and the fourth-placed TAC, who have 12 points each from six games. TOPS has also secured 12 points with two games still to play.


Similarly, Shree Gaun Sports Club saw off New Diamond Sports Club (NDSC) 25-4, 25-16, 25-10 to register its third win of the season.
