KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Shivam New Diamond Academy (NDA) has continued its unbeaten streak in the ongoing 13th Red Bull Dhorpatan UM Women’s Volleyball Double League Tournament defeating the departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC) 3-1 on Tuesday.

NDA, which won the first and the second sets easily, lost to NPC on the third. But, it recovered in the fourth set to keep its unbeaten run going in the tournament. National player Pratibha Mali, who was rewarded with the ‘NVA award’ on Monday, helped her team NDA win 24-17 in the first set and 25-15 in the second. NPC won the competitive third set 31-29, but lost the fourth set 25-17, giving NDA all three points. NDA is joint-top in the standings with 18 points from six games along with the other departmental team Armed Police Force (APF). Likewise, NPC has 12 points from six games along with Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC). In the other matches on the same day, Tops School beat Meghauli Sports Foundation 25-8, 25-13, 26-24 to collect nine points from three matches. Similarly, Eastern Regional Volleyball Association saw off New Diamond Sports Club (NDSC) 27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 21-25, 25-5, while Shree Gaun Sports Club saw off Paramount School 25-12, 25-17, 25-20.
