KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday gained 6.68 points to close at 1,977.30 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,970.62 points and rose to the day’s high at 1,988.28 points within the first half an hour. However, the market went into a straight fall to reach 1,970.05 points before recovering by around seven points in the remaining trading hours.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
Despite posting positive points on the index, the daily turnover stood as low as Rs 1.07 billion. Out of the 13 trading groups, hotels and tourism, others, manufacturing and processing and mutual funds lost in Sunday transactions.
Ridi Hydropower Development Company had the largest daily transaction amount of Rs 89.10 million. Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited gained the highest percent in its share price, whereas Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha was the top loser.
