KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday slid down 7.29 points to close at 1,851.23 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,858.53 points and gained around three points in the first five minutes of trading. The market then fell successively and hit the day’s low at 1,838.24 points in two hours trading. The market recovered around 12 points in the remaining period in the intraday trading.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also declined by 1.65 points. The daily turnover fell to Rs 964.01 million from Rs 1.323 billion on Thursday.
Among the 13 trading groups, only microfinance posted a gain of 2.19 points. Non-life insurance plunged 42.04 points, the highest among the losers.
Among individual companies, the market values of 136 companies declined whereas 94 companies were successful in adding values to their indices.
Sonapur Minerals and Oil Limited had the largest trading of Rs 69.52 million. Mountain Energy Nepal Limited declined by 9.99 percent of its market value and was the biggest loser. Three Star Hydropower Limited, with an additional 9.63 percent in its market price, led the gainer segment.
