KATHMANDU, April 30:: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday soared 25.93 points to close at 2,006.28 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,980.34 points, fell to 1,979.76 points in the first 10 minutes and remained almost stable at this level for the next one hour. The index then surged to the day’s high at 2,016.61 points in the next one hour. The market lost around 10 points in the remaining hours before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also increased by a notable 5.58 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 4.80 billion from Rs 2.95 billion on Monday.
Finance group with a fall of 26.30 points was the only loser of the day. Out of the 12 gainers, non-life insurance gained the highest of 245.32 points. Development bank, and hotels and tourism indices also went up three-digit points.
Among individual companies, 215 were recorded as gainers whereas 26 were the losers.
Shine Resunga Development Bank had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 182.42 million. Corporate Development Bank was the topmost gainer, while Pokhara Finance Ltd lost the highest of 7.18 percent of its market price.
