NEPSE records transactions of around Rs 2.64 million

KATHMANDU, July 8: The domestic share market recorded transactions worth around 2.64 billion rupees in this week's trading that closed on Friday. 

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd. (NEPSE), a total of seven million 33 thousand 630 units of share of 162 companies were sold and purchased in this period. The share transaction amount that the NEPSE recorded in this week surpasses the business of previous week that was closed at Rs 1.85 billion. 

The NEPSE index, increasing by 40.29 points on the closing day comparing to the opening day (Sunday, July 2), touched 1582.11 points. Likewise, the sensitive index that is used to measure the share business of 'A' class companies, reached 336.1 points by increasing 9.17 points compared to the opening day. 

The Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited is in the frontline in the graph of transacted amount. Shares worth Rs 211.5 million of the Company were sold and purchased this week. 

Likewise, NIBL Samriddhi Fund is in the topmost position in terms of the number of sold and purchased shares. A total of 1.12 million units of share were sold and purchased this week. RSS
