KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) nosedived 33.97 points on Sunday to close at 1,876.41 points.
The market opened at 1,910.38 points and went to a straight fall throughout the trading hours. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies also fell 6.04 points.

The daily turnover stood at Rs 1.60 billion, slightly higher than the last week’s average of Rs 1.16 billion. All 13 trading groups lost average prices of their shares, while the sub-index of life insurance and non-life insurance plunged three-digit points.
Laxmi Bank Limited had the biggest transaction of its shares worth Rs 213.84 million. Balephi Hydropower Limited was the top loser while Global IME Samunnat Scheme-1 gained the highest percent in its share price.
