Nepse loses 16.60 points on Thursday

KATHMANDU, July 7: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday fell by 16.60 points to close at 2,027.32 points.

The secondary market that opened at 2,043.92 points peaked at a maximum of 2,079.27 points before the market went into a downturn to finally close at 2,027.32 points. The daily turnover amount also fell to Rs 1.80 billion from Rs 2.17 billion on the previous day. 

Except for the mutual fund, the remaining 12 trading groups witnessed a fall in their average share prices. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies also declined 3.42 points.

Among individual companies, Life Insurance Corporation Nepal had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 76.58 million. Summit Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited lost the highest percent of its share price while RBB Mutual Fund 1 was the top gainer.
