NEPSE index suffers a modest dip

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: The Nepal Stock Exchange index has suffered a slight dip today with 3.74 points decline to close at 1255.07. 

Likewise, the sensitive index, which measures the performance of class 'A' stocks, has also declined 0.51 points to sit at 266.09. 

The total 215,829 shares of a total of 167 companies were traded at over Rs 555 million. Three subgroups made gains, while one suffered a dip. Hotel saw a decrease by 20.57 points, while development bank by 4.69 and others by 1.83. But banking surged 1.65 points, while hydropower 7.79, finance 0.48, non-life insurance 107.48, production 5.51, micro finance 5.06 and life insurance 79.81.
