KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday slightly increased by 6.01 points to close at 2,974.46 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,968.44 points and reached the day’s high at 3,018.93 points at around midway of the total trading hours. In the remaining two hours, the market shed around 44 points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased by 3.75 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 19.16 billion from Rs 18.90 billion on Wednesday.
Among individual companies, 133 were recorded as gainers whereas 108 were the losers.
Seven out of the 13 groups were the gainers. Development bank added 256.62 points in its index. Of the losers, non-life insurance shed the largest of 160.56 points.
Seven companies including Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited were recorded as the topmost gainers. SBL Debentures 2083 was the biggest loser.
