Nepse inches up 13.33 points on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse), after two days of consecutive fall, inched up 13.33 points on Wednesday.


The secondary market that opened at 2,030.59 points surged to a maximum of 2,044.50 points in the few minutes after the trading started for the day. However, the index then dropped to as low as 1,995.18 points before taking an upward graph to finally close at 2,043.92 points.

The daily turnover stood at Rs 2.17 billion, down from Rs 2.96 billion on Tuesday. Except for banking, non-life insurance and mutual fund groups, the rest of the 10 trading groups gained on Wednesday’s trading.


Gurkhas Finance Limited had transactions of its shares worth Rs 117.28 million, the largest of all. Life Insurance Corporation Nepal was the highest gainer while 9.5% NCC Debenture 2086 was the top loser.
