Nepse gains 23.83 points on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, July 27: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday gained 23.83 points to close at 2,111.99 points.

The secondary market which opened at 2,088.16 points fell to a minimum of 2,066.19 points in the first half of the trading hours before it went into an upward graph. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chip companies added 4.53 points and stood at 402.92 points.

Despite a rise in the overall index, the daily turnover amount fell to Rs 3.16 billion from Rs 3.70 billion on the previous day. Except for trading, the remaining 12 trading groups witnessed a gain in their indices.

Among individual companies, Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 179.41 million. United Modi Hydropower Limited was the topmost gainer while Kumari Dhanabriddhi Yojana was the biggest loser in its share value.
