Nepse gains 12.57 points on Thursday, after facing a loss for 3 consecutive days

KATHMANDU, June 16: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday gained 12.57 points to close at 1,978.94 points.

The market that had gone down by over 80 points in the first three consecutive days of the week registered a comeback with an increase by double digit points. In the intraday trading on Thursday, the market plunged to the lowest mark of 1,950.93 points and the highest of 1,993.40 points. 

Except for investment, the rest of the 12 trading groups achieved growth in their indices. However, the single-day turnover stood at Rs 1.18 billion, less than Rs 1.49 billion on the previous day.

Among the individual companies, Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 138.89 million. Andhikhola Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the highest gainer while Lumbini General Insurance Limited was recorded as the topmost loser of the day.
