Nepse falls marginally by 7.72 points on Sunday

KATHMANDU, August 21: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday lost 7.72 points to close at 2,060.55 points.

The market opened at 2,068.26 and reached the maximum of 2,088.38 points in the first few minutes of the commencement of the day’s trading. However, the market then went into a declining trend and finally lost 0.37 percent.

The daily turnover stood at Rs 2.04 billion, almost similar to the amount on Thursday. Except for hotels and tourism, manufacturing and processing, non-life insurance and banking, the remaining nine trading groups lost in their average share prices.

In individual companies, Ridi Hydropower Development Company had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 122.85 million. River Falls Power Limited was the topmost loser and Mandakini Hydropower Limited gained the biggest percent in its share price.
