KATHMANDU, August 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday dropped marginally by 0.36 points to close at 2,040.70 points.
The secondary market that opened at 2,041.06 points posted a higher fluctuation in the intraday trading hours. The index hit the day’s lowest at 2,035.55 points while it went to as high as 2,052.90 points.

The daily turnover stood at Rs 1.40 billion, almost half of Rs 2.73 billion on Tuesday. Seven out of 13 trading groups gained in terms of their average share prices. In individual companies, Ridi Hydropower Development Company had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 184.31 million. Samling Power Company was the topmost loser while Swet-Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited gained the biggest percent in its share price.
