Nepse drops 39 points

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: The trend of drop in the share prices continued in the capital market on Monday also. 

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) Ltd today, the Nepse index has dropped 39.31 points today and reached 1,683. One million 190 thousand 431 units of shares of a total 140 companies were traded today for 861 million 943 thousand 811. The sensitive index which measures the shares of big companies also slid 2.22 per cent. 

The share market dropped to the nominal point after the share prices of all groups dropped to the 'red' mark. 

Nepse stated that banking sector shares dropped 2.02 per cent, hotel group 3.8 per cent, development bank group 2.26 per cent, hydroelectricity group 3.64 per cent, the finance group 2.49 per cent, insurance group 2.66 per cent, the production sector 1.17 per cent and other groups 2.66 per cent. 

In terms of transaction, Nepal Investment Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nepal Bank Limited and Himalayan General Insurance are in the leading position. RSS
