Nepathya’s performance resounded Dharan

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepathya performed in the second show of their on-going Nepal tour to the music enthusiast of Dharan on Friday evening. According to the press statement released by Nepa-laya, the Dharan show was jointly organized by a student body of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences ( BPKIHS) and MC coffee hour, a local coffee joint.

The concert started with the band performing their first song – ‘Aganai Bhari’ during which Nepathya’s 25-year journey was shown in pictures on the projection screen.

Noted poet Dinesh Adhikari was also present throughout the show. This was his first outing after his major hip replacement surgery a few months back. With consent from his doctor, he attended the show and stood for two hours enjoying the show. “We artists have a social responsibility too. I found Amrit and Nepathya fulfilling this responsibility to the utmost.” The press statement quoted Adhikari and further added, “It is amazing to see how the band is entertaining the music lovers of all age.”

The show continued with Nepathya’s classic hits ‘Chekyo Chekyo’, ‘Jomsome Bazaar’, ‘Resham’ to ‘Mai Mari Jaunla’ along with their recent releases ‘Koshi Ko Paani’ and ‘Sirfula’. Whatever song the band would sing, the audience sang along.

The next stop of the tour will be Butwal, where the show will be locally hosted by Yes Nepal. The Butwal show is scheduled for Monday at Butwal Stadium (ANFA Technical Institute). The tour will conclude in Dhangadhi on Thursday.
