KATHMANDU, May 28: Nepathya has released 6th single from their 10th album. The band has already released other singles such as – Koshiko Pani, Sirfula, Rama Rama, Hami Nepali and Samjhi Rakha.

The released song – ‘Kuroop Anuhar’ was written by Sarubhakta and composed by Vikram Gurung during their university days in the early 80s. As per the poet, the song is a lyrical portrayal of lonely and discarded youth.

‘Kuroop Anuhar’ has been an opening act for Nepathya’s concert for all their 25-year celebration shows. The show starts with a spectacular entrance of the band aided by a choregraphed coordination of lights, visuals and sound. The song is presented with the blue shade of lights beaming on stage blended with the psychedelic mood of the track.

“We have tried to experiment this video with wide angle shots. The entire video has been cut between wide shots and no close-ups,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha of nepalaya, the promoters of Nepathya and the producer of the video.  “We have also maintained the live concert feel of the song while cutting the video,” he added.

“I thank Nepathya for reviving this song,” lyricist Sarubhakta had reacted when he witnessed the live performance of the song for the first time more than a year ago in Tundikhel. “The use of the chorus in the song has touched me the most.” he said.

“I am glad all our songs from the upcoming album is being well received,” said Nepathya frontman Amrit Gurung. “We enjoyed playing ‘Kuroop Anuhar’ on stage and I hope the audience enjoys it as well,” he added.
