Santi was missing for the past one year. The online portal said she was taken there via New Delhi one year ago by Lalit Thapa and admitted to the hospital.

Devi Shrestha of the hospital said her condition is critical. Bhuwan Poudel, an official at Nepali Embassy in Kuwait, said he had met Santi at the hospital, adding that Nepali officials are still unable to send her home.

Meanwhile, Santi’s brother Rudra Bahadur Dura, who is working in Saudi Arabia, has appealed to all to help his sister’s return to Nepal.
