Nepali team departs for Startup World Cup in US

The Startup World Cup was founded by Pegasus Tech Ventures, a venture capital firm associated with SpaceX founder Elon Musk, and is considered the world’s largest startup competition.

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Nepal’s champion startup team has left for Silicon Valley, United States, to compete in the Startup World Cup 2025 global finals.



Arjun Ghimire, founder of DL Surf, which won Nepal’s most prestigious international startup competition organized by Startup Hub Nepal and World Trade Group, departed for the US on Thursday.

The competition carries a prize of Rs 144 million. Dr Shambhu Pokharel, Chairperson and South Asia Head of Startup Hub Nepal, said the team is aiming for victory at the global stage. He added that the event will inspire Nepali startups to think globally.


Representing Nepal, DL Surf will compete against champion startups from around 100 countries in the global finale, scheduled to be held in the US from October 17 to 22.
