KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Nepali short film 'Songs of Love and Hate' won the Special Mention Award at the Berlin Film Festival.


Directed by Saurabh Ghimire, this short film has a runtime of 17 minutes. Produced by Minso Limbu and Min Bahadur Bham, this film is made under the banner of Junco Pictures and Shooney Films.

The film was selected in the Generation Fourteen plus section of the festival. The film presents the story of a radio program presenter. It depicts the situation when a love advice radio show host disappears one day after experiencing a relationship breakup himself.


Producer Limbu said that after Berlin, the film is ready for its Asia premiere. One of the producers, Bham's feature film 'Shambala' is also competing in the international competition in Berlin this time. This Berlin edition ends on February 25.
