KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Police have arrested a Nepali national who was caught gambling in a casino using a fraudulent Indian Aadhaar card. The suspect, Bishal Bartaula, 37, a resident of Rapti Municipality-1, Chitwan, currently living in Ratopul, Kathmandu, was detained on Sunday.
Acting on intelligence reports that Nepali nationals were gambling in various casinos in the Kathmandu Valley using fake Indian Aadhaar cards and voter IDs, police officers from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, apprehended Bartaula while he was gambling at the Waldo Dynasty Casino, located in Chhaya Center, Thamel.

During the investigation, police discovered that Bartaula had created a counterfeit Indian Aadhaar card and voter ID in the name of Ramesh Gupta to gain access to the casino and place bets.
The police have transferred Bartaula to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Bhadrakali for further investigation and legal action.
