LISBON, Nov 25: A Nepali youth died in Portugal after being stabbed by his friend.
Dhan Bahadur Chhetri, 36, of Kushma Municipality-13, Parbat, was seriously injured after being stabbed by his friend and died during treatment, according to Umesh Khadka, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association of Portugal. Chhetri died on Thursday during treatment at Hospital Do Litoral Alentejano in Santiago, Portugal.

Chhetri, who lived in Boavista, Odemira, Portugal, was stabbed by his room partner 30-year-old Lokendra Gurung of Putlibazar-12, Parbat, Tuesday night. Gurung, who was drunk at the time of the incident, stabbed Chettri, said Honorary Consul General in Portugal Makar Bahadur Hamal.
Gurung, who escaped after the incident, has been arrested by the police and is under investigation. Chhetri and Gurung came to Portugal eight months ago in connection with foreign employment. Both of them were working in an agricultural company in Odemira.
