KATHMANDU, May 1: Following the devastating earthquake on April 25, actors Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, better known as Dhurmus and Suntali, are canceling their tour in the US and returning to Nepal. The actors are accompanied by singers Pramod Kharel, Pashupati Sharma and Sangita Thapa Magar and will be returning on May 2.

The team had started their tour on April 1 with the purpose of holding musical and comical shows in different parts of the US.

The team expressed that they needed some time to recover from the trauma. Kattel, who is also the government appointed sanitation ambassador, was overwhelmed by the incident. In a poem, he expressed emotionally that he cannot be happy while his country is crying.

The team also expressed gratitude towards their organizers who were compassionate toward their situation as to grant them an early leave.

Furthermore, the husband-wife duo claimed that they would donate the money they raised during their stay in the US along with the money they made while they were the sanitation ambassadors. The total money of Rs 1.65 million will be donated to provide relief to the victims.
