PHALEBASH (Parbat), Oct 15: The Nepalis living in Belgium have extended financial assistance to aid further construction of an under-construction elderly home at Modibedi Dham in Parbat district.
The amount totaling Rs 267,000 collected after a fundraising among the Non-resident Nepalis – who moved to Belgium from Parbat and Baglung – was handed over to the Elderly Home Construction Committee amidst a programme held here on Friday.
On the occasion, lawmaker Arjun Prasad Joshi hailed the humanitarian assistance for the cause of senior citizens.
Govinda Subedi, representatives from the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Belgium Chapter pledged further assistance in the near future.
The construction cost of the 12-roomed elderly home is estimated to hover around Rs 6.4 million. RSS
