TOKYO, June 20: The newly appointed Nepali ambassador to Japan, Pratibha Rana, on Sunday received welcome from the Nepali diaspora in Japan.
The Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan organized a function to felicitate the woman ambassador. The post of Nepal's top diplomatic representative in Japan had remained vacant for too long and was being overseen by an acting ambassador.
Making NRNA meaningful
In the event held at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel, the participating organizations advised the new ambassador to strengthen Nepal – Japan relations.
The representatives of the various political parties based in Japan pointed out that the wrongful activities of some Nepali people have stoked problems for other Nepali nationals in Japan. They also called for improvement in the relations.
On the occasion, Rana pledged to work in the interest of Nepal and the Nepali people. She also vowed to arrange an exchange of high level visits between the two countries. Ambassador Rana arrived in Japan a month ago. RSS
