Dandu Raj Ghimire, spokesperson for the MoLESS, said the agreement was reached after a panel consisting of representatives of the two countries to study the matter finalized its report.
Last January, both countries agreed to establish labor relations between the two countries. In this regard, it was consented to send 1,000 nurses to the UK. Ghimire said the number however is not fixed for now.
Nepali nurses who want to go to the UK for the job placement need to get a score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Those interested should be in the age group of 20 years to 45 years while they should have two and a half years of experience of working at government-approved hospitals.
