Nepal to receive 10.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses by mid-October: State Minister Shrestha

KATHMANDU, August 5: Minister of State for Health and Population, Umesh Shrestha has said that Nepal will receive 10.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines by mid-October.

KATHMANDU, August 5: Minister of State for Health and Population, Umesh Shrestha has said that Nepal will receive 10.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines by mid-October.


In a meeting of the Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR), Minister Shrestha maintained that Nepal will receive 10.5 million COVID-19 doses by mid-October.

Stating that Nepal is soon to receive 800,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from Japan and 300,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from Bhutan, Minister Shrestha said that Nepal will celebrate a vaccination week from August 9 to 16.


There will be 150 COVID-19 vaccination centers in Kathmandu, 77 in Lalitpur and 38 in Bhaktapur districts, according to Shrestha.
